Field of Activity

Yposkesi, an SK pharmteco Company, is the first French company to develop and manufacture gene and cell therapy products for rare diseases.

BACKGROUND

Created in November 2016 by AFM-Telethon and the SPI fund managed by Bpifrance, this new company aims to make gene and cell therapies available to patients at a fair and controlled price, in accordance with the commitment made by its founders.

Activities:

  • Contract and development manufacturing organization (CDMO)
  • Contract manufacturing organization for gene and cell therapy products (pre-clinical and clinical batches).
  • Innovation and development of process and analytical technologies in the field of gene and cell therapy.

Yposkesi is certified as a pharmaceutical establishment (medicinal product for humanuse) by ANSM, the French national agency for health product safety.
The strategy of Yposkesi is focused on extending production capacities through planned investments.

  • 1 large scale manufacturing unit for viral vectors (commercial), planned for 2021.
  • 1 R&D unit (process & analytical development) planned for 2018.
  • Modular cleanroom facilities for the GMP manufacturing of cell therapy products planned for 2021.
