ApogeeBio finances two years of postdoctoral research at the science and innovation biocluster Genopole. The program is intended for specialists in life, social or computer sciences forwarding projects pertinent to the healthcare or environmental sectors.
Launched in 2021, ApogeeBio is a Genopole action co-financed by the European Commission and carried out in collaboration with the biocluster’s academic partners (University of Évry-Paris Saclay, Genethon, Télécom SudParis, Institut Mines-Télécom Business School, CEA) and such supervisory bodies as Paris-Saclay University, Inserm and the CNRS.
Who can apply for ApogeeBio?
ApogeeBio is intended for young postdoc researchers of any nationality (French or other) not living currently in France.
The research project must be performed within a laboratory or company at the Genopole biocluster in Évry-Courcouronnes, located about 35 kilometers south of Paris, France.
A multidisciplinary scientific environment
Genopole and its academic partners afford a vast choice of research possibilities. The 17 labs and 66 businesses available in the program cover a wide range of scientific disciplines, notably gene & cell biotherapies, genomics, synthetic biology & biomanufacturing, health, industrial & environmental biotechnologies, bioinformatics, biomathematics, artificial intelligence, innovation management, and much more.
Personalized funding and accompaniment
ApogeeBio is a complete program of funding and accompaniment for young postdocs.
It provides 24 months of salary, up to €3,000 net per month, to complete a research project in one of Genopole’s innovative academic or business teams.
The program also provides the researchers with personal (reception, cultural immersion) and professional (career development) accompaniment, particularly via its partners, the Association Bernard Gregory and Science-Accueil.
Throughout the postdoctoral stay, ApogeeBio proposes training sessions and opportunities to interact with the site’s businesses and incubators, all within an environment custom-tailored to research and innovation.
