  Looking out to the 2025 horizon, Genopole intends to become a world-renowned biotech cluster and especially to contribute to the constitution of future-looking sectors crucial to national independence.

  Among many important subjects, Genopole has identified two sectors in need of a structuration effort at the national level. That effort is vital, as it will ensure that France has the vanguard actors it needs to respond to challenges in the coming years.

  These sectors, for which Genopole already has recognized competencies, are:
  – innovative therapies (gene and cell therapies),
  – and the bioeconomy.

  Genopole’s ambitions for these sectors are built upon the very model of the biocluster: unite the strengths of business, academic research and training to address all of the activities that successively contribute to economic development (research, learning institutions and training, equipment supply, innovative businesses, service providers, etc.).

  Its efforts for these sectors will bring direct economic benefits to the Grand Paris Sud (Évry-Courcouronnes/Corbeil-Essonnes) and Paris-Saclay territories and more largely the Essonne Department and the Île-de-France Region. Genopole’s 2025 goals are an opportunity particularly for this latter, as the region is looking to rapidly place itself as a world leader in research and innovation.

  Finally, the biocluster also wishes to become a strong symbol of French economic excellence, be it in terms of job creation, innovative project development or business success.
