Building 7: Genopole’s “Business Hostel”


Building 7 is a new structure at Genopole designed for business activities that are no longer start-ups but not yet consolidated companies; a stepping-stone if you will, between the incubator and the biocluster’s larger office+lab buildings

Building 7 labs: the perfect place to grow

Building 7 is a great place to work, at the heart of Genopole in a stimulating environment for science and innovation.
With its flexible commitments and modular floorplans, there is no need to move when your workplace needs to evolve.

  • Modular, private rental floorplans from 40 to 130 m² for offices and/or BSL-1 laboratories with workbenches and ventilation
  • Individual BSL-2 labs with airlocks, and air treatment and conditioning
  • Shared-use scientific and technical premises to reduce costs: central cleaning centers with 250-L autoclave, dry heat sterilizer, washing machines; 37°C and 4°C culture rooms; nitrogen storage; photo lab, etc.
  • Available shared-use equipment: freezers (-20°C, -80°C, -150°C), centrifuges, vacuum concentrator, DNA amplifier, spectrophotometer, photo-imager, HPLC, qPCR, plate reader; reverse osmosis water, soft water and ice production, etc.
  •  High-speed fiber-optic network

The mutualization of infrastructures, equipment and services lets you be immediately operational, reduces your costs and frees you from the management and maintenance of these work essentials.
