AuraLIP completes its first fund raising campaign to accelerate its development

AuraLIP, a Genopole start-up specialized in the fermentation of hemp seeds for the creation of sustainable ingredients, completed its first—and successful—fund raising campaign in December 2024.

The action marks a decisive step in the start-up’s development and its desire to speed the transition to sustainable foods.

Support from investors

AuraLIP now has the means to accelerate its industrialization, hire staff and strengthen its international reach thanks to support from such engaged investors as the BADGE Business Angels, YES Invest, Food Planet, FBA – Femmes Business Angels (FBA) and FFBB Management.

AuraLIP: innovative transformation for sustainable foods

Following their participation in the Shaker program, Laetitia Halbeisen and Dr. Marine Messant founded AuraLIP in April 2023. The start-up has developed an innovative fermentation processes for hemp seeds, which enables the creation of agreeably textured and tasty ingredients rich in proteins and omega-3/6.
Their technology is firmly seated in the circular economy and sustainable nutrition. Indeed, it valorizes industrial by-products and produces high-performance, plant-based alternatives for the food & agriculture industry.

Recognition and support from the community

AuraLIP has already earned the French Tech Seed label from French Tech Paris Saclay and the Deeptech label from Bpifrance, and moreover has been named as a laureate of INRAE’s Challenge Innotech. The start-up also benefits from financial support from the Île-de-France Administrative Region. 

Preparing its future 

With its recently acquired funding, AuraLIP will be able to structure its development and accelerate commercialization. Notably, the start-up aims to benefit from Genopole’s new Protopia platform, a structure developed for businesses in the prototyping phase, to test and refine its innovations.
