The SABNP laboratory is an INSERM research unit working on the structure and function of RNA:Protein complexes with the aim to foster applications in medicine and biotechnology. To that end, the SABNP laboratory develops an integrative approach encompassing structural biology, bioinformatics and cell biology to enlighten the role of RNA-binding proteins related to cancer (YB-1, Lin28, HuR, SF3b155, etc.) and neurodegenerative diseases (TDP-43, FUS, PUF60, etc.).
The research is organized into four closely related themes dealing with mRNA translation, alternative splicing, RNA-binding proteins involved in neurodegenerative diseases, and the development of bioinformatics as an analytical tool combined with structural data.
