Ngenesis is developing an innovative process that will enable farmers to produce fertilisers locally.
Initiated and incubated at Reunion Island in 2021, the project then moved closer to the Paris-Saclay ecosystem in 2022.
It obtained accreditation from the Deeptech Paris-Saclay consortium and setting up at Genopole in October 2023.
Ngenesis’s deeptech research program draws on different areas of expertise such as microbiology, biotechnology, process engineering and agronomy.
The primary mission of Ngenesis is to reduce the dependance of agriculture businesses on synthetic nitrogen fertilizers, by developing an innovative process that enables farmers to produce nitrogen fertilizers locally, according to the nature of their soils.
